Translation Management for Drupal 7
Just as we're getting ready to release the first production version of Translation Management for Drupal 6, we're starting to think about what it takes to port it to Drupal 7.
The number and depth of the changes between Drupal 6 and Drupal 7 is impressive (to say the least). So, it looks like us and every other module developer will have to maintain a completely different branch for D7.
What we want to know is when folks might start using Drupal 7 for production sites.
Drupal 7 release date should be somewhere in September.
Do you have plans for starting to use Drupal 7 for client sites?

We'll try to have Translation Management for D7 ASAP
Thanks for your feedback.
We're already starting with the migration to Drupal 7. The amount of changes looks scary, but I hope that as we move forward, we'll see it's less intimidating.
Now...
I also will not work with D6 again. Great tool you have created, although all I did so far is clicking around... The real test will be the first productive site, of course...
Absolutely! We're Using D7 Now...
We're currently developing several Drupal 7 sites and could definitely use Translation Management for D7 if it were available.
As soon as the official Drupal 7 beta is released (perhaps by the end of DrupalCon Copenhagen next week?), then we'll be bringing these sites into full production mode.
Because fields are in core and Views for D7 is working great, we're pretty much full steam ahead on D7 work and have stopped doing new development on D6.
So in answer to your question, I think the time to port Translation Management to D7 is now!
Cheers,
Ben
D7 plans
An internal project is in progress and a client site is planned for D7. All future work is planned to be D7 also. Getting a handle on localization and translation best practices in Drupal 7 is on the agenda, though not as high as it ought to be.
