Translating Nodes (pages, books, posts, etc.)

This page explains how to manually enter translation using the Translate tab.

The Translation Management module can simplify this significantly.

Select the page you wish to translate and then select the "Translate" tab.

Add Translation

Add translation

This will create a new Drupal page which holds the translation. Drupal will automatically link translated pages with one another, so that users can easily switch between languages.

Enter the Translation

Enter translation

Enter the title, body and any taxonomy terms for the translated page.

Once you save the translation, the public page will now make it available for site visitors:

The translation has been saved and it now includes a link back to the source document.
